The life of Yuli, a Haitian woman living in the Dominican Republic for more than 35 years. It has always been a struggle to bring up her children with dignity, while dealing with her precarious immigration status. The child for whose sake she crossed the border in the early eighties returns home and finds his mother — after all this time — still trying to regularize her situation in line with the Dominican government’s plan.
