CaribbeanTales seeks to work with producers of Caribbean-themed content, and content of interest to Caribbean and Caribbean-diaspora audiences. We are specifically interested in the diverse stories of Caribbean people, contemporary and historical; approaches that explore the Caribbean’s diverse culture and aesthetics, global debates that impact Caribbean societies; films and television programs that are local and specific in focus but have universal human resonance and impact. Our catalogue covers all formats including: feature narratives, short films, documentary, series, music videos, and experimental; and crosses all genres.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are currently specifically seeking content that is targeted at young audiences – children, and tweens.
Our selection committee is our Board, and a number of Advisory members based in specific territories where we operate – Toronto, Barbados, T&T, and New York. We will give a response within 8 weeks of enquiry.
If your film is selected for inclusion in our distribution Catalogue, we will forward our standard agreement to the producer.
This will be followed by an online meeting or phone call to discuss Terms. We aim to be flexible, while making producers aware of the realities of distribution that will affect their project’s distribution success.
